One way to add money to your income streams is to become a writer. If you have just the slightest talent and ability to put words together that make sense to readers, you can earn money as a writer today. Let’s look at several ways to produce income as a writer.
#1 Blogger
If you’re interested in fully exploring any topic that is of interest to you and someone else, you can become a blogger. Blogs make money due to advertisements, product sales, advertising, and commission. #2 Content Writing
If you’re good at writing blog posts, you can do it for others and yourself. Every single website needs content, and if you’re good at determining the type of content that needs to be published, creating it, and publishing it, you can become a content writer for hire or do so on your own niche website.
#3 Ghost Writing
If you are good at writing about many subjects, you can become a ghostwriter who gets their ideas from their clients who will be classified as the author of the work you help them write. Many famous people, even the President of the United States of America, hire ghostwriters.
#4 Copywriting
This is a specialized type of writing designed to persuade potential customers or visitors to take an action. If you’re good at this type of writing, you can make from $1000 per sales page, depending on your area of expertise and ability.
#5 Course Creation
While you may not think of writing as course creation, guess what, it is. To write a course, you’ll need to understand how people learn best and the elements that make a good course. You can do it for others, or you can do it for yourself on sites like Udemy.com or Teachable.com. You could even host your own course on your website.
#6 Editing
While writing and editing go together, you may want to specialize in just editing instead of writing everything yourself. If you’re good with grammar and noticing mistakes, you may be able to help someone with this skill.
#7 Formatting and Design
While not writing, every type of content must be formatted and designed to look good. You can work with authors formatting and designing their books.
#8 Self-Published Author
Want to work only with yourself? Why not? Become a self-published author. Whether you want to write your own fiction book or showcase your expertise in a book you can do-it-yourself. Put your story on Amazon Kindle or sell on your own website, and you could become the next big name in publishing. I will add the key to success with mking money from your book is in the marketing. #9 Magazine Writer
If you have expertise in a subject, look for the publications for that subject. Each magazine has different criteria for submissions, but on average, you can make a few hundred dollars per published work for the right magazines.
#10 Subject Matter Expert
Do you have a skill set that is rare to find? If so, you can help others with your research by being a subject matter expert. You can spread your expertise by blogging and opening up your email and phone to consult with others bringing in another income stream.
#11 Pay Per View Sites
You can also write for pay per view sites like Medium.com through their partner program. More of these types of sites will appear, but right now, that’s the best one to work with to publish your content and articles and make money. (https://about.medium.com/creators/)
If writing for a living fills you with almost as much fear as peaking for a living, understand that you don’t need to write at the college level. You really only need to write at the sixth-grade level to produce enough work to make a full-time living.
