That’s what makes it perfect as an affiliate source for nearly any type of niche website or blog.Writing reviews for Amazon affiliate products is definitely something you should consider on your site. Let’s take a closer look at the program and how you can maximize your earning potential with this option.

 

Which Products Should You Promote?

When it comes to choosing Amazon products to promote on your site, go with ones relevant to your niche. You can choose something broadly related or even go with items that are specifically geared toward a particular segment of your audience. Each has its advantages. It’s wise to promote items you’ve used yourself so you’ll feel confident standing behind them and can also provide personal details, such as photos of you using the product. Bonus Tip: Based on my personal experience products that fall into a mid-range price point are what I recommend. Inexpensive ones won’t net you as much commission. On the other hand, expensive items can be difficult to convert.

The most obvious type of post to write when it comes to Amazon affiliate products is the product review. In this type of post, you’ll choose a product and write about why you like it. It’s basic, it’s popular, and it converts. You don’t have to reinvent the wheel but you do have to provide give information.

1. List the cons

Don’t be afraid to state your opinion of the product. You should include one or two things that could be improved. This makes your review seem more realistic.

2. Use Photos

If it’s a product you’ve used, include your own photos to show the ways in which you’ve found it to be most useful. This goes a long way in helping your readers decide to buy. People are much more visual today so photos can be more vaulable than a lengthy post. 

3. Promote Related Products

You can add additional links for things like accessories or relevant items to increase your potential of earning a commission. When I see reviews I often see bloggers leave out this earning potential. Linking a few options can help your readers make comparisons as well.

 

Other Post Options

A round up list of the best products of a particular kind is also a good format to consider. These tend to rank well in search engines and offer you several affiliate link opportunities. Product comparison posts can work in this way as well. Other ideas include new product launches, tips on how to choose the best product, and sharing particularly good sales or promotions.

 

More Tips and Tricks

There are some things you can do to improve your chances of converting a promotion to a sale. First, use text links instead of banner or native ads in your post. They tend to convert better because they don’t look like ads. Also, include more than one link in your post. This will improve the chances of people clicking on it, as well as make it easier for them to do so. Don’t forget to take advantage of holidays and various seasons. Promote Back-to-School items toward the end of summer. Take advantage of Black Friday deals. Use traditional holidays to promote relevant items.
